Bio

In 2010 Tony Pierce, a budding guitar player from Texas moved to Nashville when he got the job to play lead guitar for a new country artist that had just signed a record deal. After 3 years with the emerging artist and a few opportunities like playing onstage at the Grand Ole Opry under his belt, he should have been on cloud nine. He was living out any young guitar player's dream, but instead he was frustrated with the feeling something was missing.

In late 2013 Tony & his wife Jaime took a leap of faith and released their first single as a country duo, Pierce Avenue, written solely by Tony, "Take It to the House." In 2016, Tony entered a guitar contest online through Guitar Center, and was 1 of 5 finalists out of 6,000 entries to be flown to Los Angeles, CA and play on stage with Vince Gill and his band in the 'Onstage with Vince Gill Contest' chosen by Vince himself! Vince then invited all five contestants to play a special show with him one evening in Nashville! Each contestant got to use their allotted time on stage with Vince and his band as they chose. The crowd watched and cheered them on, as Pierce Avenue closed their set with Vince's hit, "One More Last Chance" with Tony sharing the guitar licks with his idol Vince Gill and well-renowned guitar player, Tom Bukovac. It was a dream come true for these two Nashville hopefuls, standing on stage with some of Nashville's biggest musicians!

After 9 years of traveling the country together making music, a pandemic, and having a little boy in 2020, Pierce Avenue decided it was time for a change! Tony and his family decided it was time to move back to Texas and for him to get back to his Texas Music roots. His new solo EP will reflect all he's learned in the last 12 years in Nashville, but how he always remained a Texas Country Boy at heart.
